A. Our units are secure against all weather conditions.
A. We have found that most people prefer to pay a competitive price for easy to use storage and then to make their own arrangements for insurance if they want to. We keep our storage as simple and as easy to use as possible. Also, if we provided insurance we would need to keep an inventory of contents. This would reduce the flexibility of your storage and increase costs.
A. We have very little problem with condensation. Condensation was generally associated with older (1980's and before) flat roof design containers. Modern stores do not have the same problem.
All of our stores are new or of a very high standard but please bear in mind they are unheated. Condensation occurs when the temperature falls and there is already moisture in the store. If you place dry items into your store on a dry day you will have no problems from condensation. As an extra measure we supply an accessory called Absorpole which is designed to remove the moisture from the air in steel stores. If you are interested please ask our staff for more details.
A. Our minimum period is as little as 1 week. Most storage companies work on a 1 month minimum but with us you are never committed to more than a week.
A. When you move in we ask you for payment from the day you move in to the end of the current month (if there are less than 5 days to the end of the month then to the end of the following month). You then receive an invoice at the beginning of each following month. If you move out we refund each full unused week. Payment can be made by cheque, and standing order as well as by credit or debit card.
A. Yes. You get two keys to the high security lock on your store.
A. There is 24/7 access at all of our sites except Sedgefield and Eaglescliffe where we close at 6.00pm and re-open at 8.00am (8.00 to 12.00 Saturday, closed Sunday).
A. Let us know when you are moving out. We will arrange to collect the keys. We will organise your refund for full unused weeks in the current month and send you a refund or a final statement including key deposit.
A. No. We only ask you for advance payment to the end of the current month and a deposit for the keys.
A. No problem. You are only committed to the end of the current week. We will make arrangements to collect the keys and for final payment.
All of our units are integrally secure including a high security lock and other physical measures. Other security is site-specific sometimes including guards and cameras. Our best evidence is our record. Another point worth noting is that all of our stores look alike. We don't disclose contents to anyone - even if we know them - would you?.
